    Incremental Save

I know this has been asked before but I guess it's not like this.

So what I want is this:
when I press the button to save a version in layout, it would: create a folder inside the objects folder with the scene version number. Save all the objects inside this folder and only then create a folder inside the scene folder also with the scene version number. Keeping the original scene in the root of the scenes folder.
If someone asks me to render version v00x again I can simply go to the folder with the version number and open this scene file ...because it was saved after saving the objects it opens the objects in the same scene version number folder in the objects folder.

when working in modeler we cam use the incremental saver that comes with lightwave.

If someone knows of something with this behaviour please tell me.
    (yes I know about smart-save.)

Exactly what I was thinking. But how hard should it be to have an "Incremental Package Scene" as you would have "Save Incremental"? Other than the fact that heavy scenes would quickly eat up space if you were duplicating large objects that didn't need updating by Incremental Packaging when you should be Incremental Saving.

There is a plugin like this already.

    Bummer.
    It's not coming up... 404...

    But, found them here: http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...m/incsave.html
You may have to look at the cached copy.

I was using this tool a bit ago but an update knocked it off its roost.
