    Combo Neutrik XLR & 1/4" connectors

    They are on the XD300 and it would be great to have them as the inputs of the 455 as well. It's nice to have the flexibility of using TRS.

    Those connectors are handy, indeed. Unfortunately, the combined connectors take up a significantly greater amount of space on the backplane, which is already quite crowded.

    Hi Andrew,

    I made the same request several years ago for the 800 series. Similarly shot down due to space limitations. Several doing work in the field share your desire though, and for the same reason -onsite flexibility.

    Good info. Thanks guys!

    I usually have adaptors with me should I need some flexibility.

    Eventually I guess there will just be a couple fiber connections to handle everything and we will just plug in whatever options we need...
