    newb qn - saving preferences

I don't want to reinvent the wheel: is there a standard sort of routine for saving the last used parameters for a script?

I have a simple generic script with about a dozen possible parameters for the user to play with. I hate having to type them in every time, so I was thinking about having the script load up the last used values from a file. Is this the way to go?

If I use a file, where is the best location for it? I'm using OSX, but would like to make it cross platform, just for the sake of doing it well. I'm thinking a file in the plugins folder maybe? Is there a method for getting the path to the LScript that is being executed?

Oh while I'm here: another newb qn: can you add an LScript to the Layout menus?

Thanks, I'll get out of your way now.

Yep, you want to have a look at the Store() and Recall() commands. They do exactly what you're after.
