    Question Grouping/Parenting multiple objects

    Hi Folks.

I have a scene in Layout, an object made up of multiple objects. I need to link all these together so that I can move the combined single object around. Right now I'm parenting all the objects together through their Motion properties but it's very tedius with so many objects making up this one larger object. So I was wondering is there a way to parent or group multiple objects together quickly or do I have to do each object individually?

Why not use the Scene Editor? Shift + select all your child items under another entry to parent them.

parenting is multi select aware, so you can either grab the hwole bunch in scene editor, and drop under the parent, or select it as parent in motion options with all selected.

You can use the scene editor to do multi select parenting. I believe you could also multi select multiple items in the view-port and bring up the motion options and select the parent.

I like to use the schematic view, middle mouse click and draw a rectangular selection over all child items I want, release mouse button, press the ctrl button and left mouse button click on your main object that will serve as parent.
    Voila..all parented.
