    New Tool: Sliders

Finally the slider script got an update. It is still open source, please let me know, when you make some useful additions to it.

With this script you can create customized slider objects in a floating window for greater flexibility in rigging, especially useful for facial rigs.

You will find the script and a short how-to video in the package, covering most of the functionality.

There is a known bug in LScript, that's the reason, why the two functions "aTCB" and "Clamp" do not work in LW10 x64 MacUniversalBinary. Sorry, not my fault

Please let me know, if you find this useful, discover bugs, maybe i even find the time to add more functionality

    cheers,

    Philipp

P.S. Here's the old thread for the first versions of this script.

From what I saw in the demo movie this is very impressive. I'm curious as to what you feel is missing.

Is there a way to specify the min and max range of a slider?

Thanks for this (at first I thought it was going to be some mini hamburgers).

thanks everyone, hope it helps you with your rigs as it did with mine

nickdigital: yeah, a definition of min-max would be something which is missing, not hard to implement, but i didn't manage it yet because of other projects... i chose 0-1 because it's the easiest way, you can use it as a multiplier for expressions and this way the range doesn't really matter. but i think that's one of the important things, it's not "user friendly" right now, it's more a tool for an advanced rigger or something like that...

other things i would like to do:
    - moving, scaling, min/maximizing sliders
    - more slider types (verticals, angles, real half and quarter,3d?)
    - ranges, yeah
    - a interface to connect the envelopes to your rig/morphs/whatever
    - loading specific animations/sliders from other scenes
    - more animator-friendly functions (aCurve instead of aTCB, better clamping system)
    - and even more ideas, that's just the important stuff

Sorry -- bad joke. We have these little 2-bite hamburgers over here called sliders. Thanks for putting this script together.

it looks very very cool, hope to test it later on...

    Really cool!

I really don't like that lightwave default slide

Coul'd the squared version be scaled?
Any possibility to have a bitmap on background?

Thanks! I was usinj Joytrol but in terms of performances It wasn't good especially with the recent LW versions.
You couls change the size, put images in background too and attach a morph (with a drop down menu) to each side and corner of the squared area.
