    NewTek's LightWave 3D at Game Developer's Conference 2003

NewTek's award-winning 3D application, LightWave 3D, will be shown in the booths of two strategic partners at the Game Developers Conference, March 6-8, 2003, San Jose Convention Center, San Jose CA. William Vaughan, NewTek's LightWave Evangelist, will be showing LightWave in the AMD booth, ES 324; Deuce Bennett of the LightWave 3D engineering team will be demoing LightWave in the nVidia booth, 1108.

"LightWave 3D clearly has momentum," said Sam Crowe, Art Director of Sunstorm Interactive, "It's a key tool used in award-winning and best-selling games such as Unreal Championship and Unreal Tournament 2003, Doom III, and the Serious Sam titles."

    so which is it?

That link above speaks of Lightwave usage in Unreal yet Discreet seems to be singing a stronger tune:

Even the most casual reading takes literally just seconds to identify that the pipeline at Digital Extremes uses more than one artist and more than one tool, and can also note what elements of the game content the artists and tools mentioned worked on. The two promotional pieces are in no way contradicting each other.

Point taken. My main issue was with Discreet seeming to take all the limelight and credit.
