Photoshop CS5 - this is insane

Wow - it's won't be long until After Effects CS6, after this, has the feature that the cops / goodies always have in movies, of taking security footage, zooming in, and 'enhancing' it making a clear high res image where there couldn't have been one!

Here's some CS5 action, should be out in April 2010. Pretty amazing

    Very fine.
Still the best advance in photoshop for me in the last versions was... Video Layers ---> Animation in Photoshop. wooo hooo.

Hope to see some improvements here to, like ability to change the video frames around, on the fly.

    Cheers

Too bad they still can't get the basic features right. And I don't really need these new features on a day-to-day basis.

Some of the features are looking worthwhile, but in the end performance will be what really makes me want to upgrade. We went to CS4 at work but I saw little reason to move from CS3 to CS4 at home, as CS4 felt slower.

The new paint features (PS) are interesting, but likely won't approach what Painter offers. The distortion tool in PS CS5 (that looks a lot like the puppet tool in AE) looks useful, but Flash CS5 is what looks truly exciting. The physics environment, depending on how it's been implemented, as well as the option to develop for the iPhone seem to be pretty compelling.

I was a little disappointed after watching the Go Kart game they demonstrated. Of course I thought "That must be a true 3D environment within Flash!" however it was only a Flash UI sending data to a server where the actual game was being handled, and then streaming video back to the device.

CS5's release is a way off still, but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Listen, guys, this is JUST a tech demo. There is nothing certain about this making into Photoshop at all, ever, let alone for CS5. It might, sure, but this CS5.org person just seems to make stuff up...
