I am glad that my question wasn't as simple (feeling not so dumb) as I thought it would be.
There has to be some way to create the "perfect Golf Ball"

Maybe Newtek can have a video tutorial created for this?

I went through William's method, and after playing around with settings in Rounder, found what he'd done. Worked easily after finding the right settings, not so before...

    Hi.
Any chance you might be able to post a description (with images ) and details of your process?

    Thanks
    Stephen

Thanks. Trying it now, but I am confused at the part of the Edge bevel. Any chance of adding the written step by step also?

There is nothing fancy, select all edges , hit Edge bevel, hold LMB and drag left/right untill you get it right. Exact number for edge bevel won't help unless you make exactly same sized ball which is not needed since mine was too big anyway .

Hi Lewis. I am trying this, but it is not the same. Have a look.
I am not getting the "stop sign" shapes.
Was Rounder or something done 1st?

No rounder used in my video. Are you sure you were in EDGES mode and not POLYGONS ?

Hmm it worked this way for me since forever (I've made my first golf ball in 2003 - http://www.lewis.tomsoft.hr/portfolio/golftv_anim_1.php). Maybe it's MAC thing ??? Can we get more MAC users to test this 'coz I've tried on 3 PCs and it works same on each one. BTW it works with Rounder also (just be sure you have Rounder at Edges and Rounding polys 1) but it'ss lower so that's why I use classic Edge Bevel.

Ok. I tried your suggestion for Rounder and it looks more like what you are showing in the video.
    I will continue.

Yep, that's IT it's going to work for you this way too, that means that Edge Bevel might be working different/broken on MAC or is it Broken on PC .
