    Sci-Fi Fighter WIP

Hi everyone. Here's a ship I'm currently modeling. I thought I'd post a render or two. The back isn't detailed yet btw. The thrusters are temporary place holders until I think of something more clever. Thanks.

I have to agree. I think I'm stuck in the "as long as it looks like it could have been in Star Wars (ep.4-6)" I'm happy with the design. I think some shuttle Tiderian subconsciously snuck during the build process. Unlike the shuttle Tiderian, this is more of a single pilot fighter/escort ship. I did some more work on it, I'll try to post post soon.

Nothing wrong with Star Wars, but it does get old sometimes.

Looks good, great detailing! The wings and body are great--very "Star Wars original trilogy." It's obviously only my opinion, but the cockpit area unfortunately reminds me of the front of an old-time (c. 1910) streetcar--I almost expect to see a conductor there taking tickets. See link:

If it were me, I'd rethink the entire front part so it continued the angular industrial-military feel of the main body, rather than the sort of late-Victorian feel it has now. If this is some kind of fighter-plane type ship, I think I'd also consider redesigning the cockpit so the pilot isn't so exposed.

    Hi,

Usually there is a worry when you do something in an orthographic view that it may not look good in a 3/4 view etc. But I have to say I really think this looks better at an angle than it does in an orthographic view. I bet it would look good animated.
