    Matching Canon XH A1

    Hi,

I have the chance to play with a Canon XH A1 this weekend, and I'd like to know how to find the right settings in LightWave to match that camera/lens for some basic stuff (I have no camera tracking software).

    Thanks in advance,
    Rob

if you can take out some still-frames out of the camera and stitch these frames with realstitcher(if thats the name of it) it can give you the FOV data so you can play with some simple stuff ;-)

we use Syntheyes for things like that, and it cheap too :-) com on buy it, the Dollar is low now :-)

Roger - is Syntheyes like http://www.ipisoft.com/ - where you can shoot with one camera and get motion tracking data?

I know very little about motion tracking, but have been investigating - and the market seems to be changing rapidly.

How does it stand up to the questions in this

    Thanks!

    SynthEyes is great and inexpensive.

The tracking/solving process works best when using a progressive HD format from CCD-sensors. If I remember well the Canon XH A1 can only shoot interlaced.

    Check out http://www.ssontech.com/ for details.
