Hey Dan, is the current issue #34 or is it still at #33?

Since I got my copy at Siggraph, I can verify that the newest one is #34. I just bought #33 at B&N, and 34, the one from Siggraph, should hit the stores very shortly. I see why you are confused. I just looked. and they have not yet updated their website http://www.keyframemag.com/ which still announces issue 33.

    no b&N here

we have chapters and independent magazine retailers here. no b&n. but i just checked with my favorite mag retailer and he hasn't received his copies yet so i imagine within early next week it should be here as well and i'll pick it up while my subs mailing is back up and running.

will you guys ever attach a resource dvd like the british magazine like digit and others or because of cost, would never be implemented here in north america.

    keep up the good work!

    Thanks Paul,
we've talked about it, but right now, it's just too costly. I hardly make anything on it, as do the writers. In order to keep it completely tutorial driven, which is unlike most magazines, the cost unfortunately remains higher.

But, I do intend at some point to start adding monthly content to the website.

how about merging comp and 3d?

no problem, i totally understand. need to increase your subscribers base to a reasonable amount to support the associated cost with more expenses.

what if to further expand lightwave user base by incorporating video and graphic composition programs such as fusion or AE, photoshop and in depth stories of existing TD of special effect houses, narrowing in on other fields that complement lightwave, i know you did lots of commercial for various clients, that would be interesting to find out how-to and approaches of various projects.
a quick survey would definitely tell what people want and need, i know with the fusion dfx deal, people will want to learn more about their new tool.

looking forward to the on line resources,

    Paul

Uh, well - now that you mention it, coverage of those applications and others is already in the works.

    Sounds Great!

That's great news. Let's hope new Advertisers will join in. We all want you guys to be around for a long time and nothing wrong for you and your writers to make some decent money too.

here is a technical question that you might be able to answer for us.
