    Free Lightwave

I was wondering if there is a free version of lightwave for users who just want to fool around with the program to learn it. Eventually I would buy the full version if I like what I see.

    Newtek do a discovery edition:

You might also find it on the cover discs of some of the 3d mags. It's limited on the number of points your objects can contain (while saving) but everything else is fully functional.

    Have fun!

The book Inside Lightwave 7 has the programs, plug-ins, textures and the models/stuff for the tutorials on a CD inside...

And it's a great book too...

    RichPR -
thanks for the plug on my book!

Also, I have about an hour and half of free tutorials you can download at www.3dgarage.com

They are quite large (about 200mb) but very high quality.
