Thread: frontface wireframe/ backface culling

    frontface wireframe/ backface culling

    An aside,

It's retarded that layout has frontface wireframe view but modeler doesnt.

But the reason I started this thread is to find out if anyone knows a way to render (with antialiasing) front-face wireframes. Not render a preview with everything turned off but a genuine wireframe render.

    Thanks,

Myself, I just model in wireframe shade... pretty much front face.
As for the other, look in the manual about rendering edges (hint they're in your object properties).

top: edges with the all surfaces set to black 0 diffuse

    middle: edges rendered over surfaces

bottom: rendered full wire frame in rendering options

try working in 'Wireframe Shade' Mode and open the Display options panel and under the 'Interface' tab turn on 'Simple Wireframe Edges'. I'm not sure if that's what you want but work a try. I find it useful.

To answer the second question you can use the Object properties panel or you can use the 'Render Outlines' option in the Surface Editor under the Advance tab.

This pix was done with the second option.
