    problems with field depth/dig. confusion

I tried achieving camera focus effect using field depth, later with digital confusion.

With field depth, blur wasn't quite right

Then I tried digital confusion. Blur was fine but edges were like a saw.

I thought applying antialiasing might fix this... And this happened :

What should I do? I really can't see any solution.

PS I was trying to focus camera on middle branch with insulators. Tose renders came out so crappy that it might be hard to tell

On the first image move the F-Stop slightly lower or higher and rerender... If you see more blur, go the opposite way... this way you can usually narrow it down...

There was a current discussion on DOF on CGTalk as well in the LW forum... on standard DOF, Digital C. and XDOF...
