    .Mov support

Can anyone use the C button in the render options for any of the Apple codecs? I want to be able to export an Animation+ format (with alpha) but I don't seem to be able to do that. I'm just trying to compile a bunch of frames with alpha into an animation with alpha. Is this even possible in SE?

I don't know what "Animation" settings you had wanted to change but other codes, specifically, Sorenson gives me a page full of choices.

Apple PNG also gives me choices for Interlaced or not as well as a drop down list of filters. If Apple PNG doesn't create the animation you need, then render the project using "Still Image Sequence, PNG 32 bit @ project size" and then QT Pro should be able to turn those PNG images into the animation you need.

Normally, the "Animation" and "None" codecs provide a "24 Million Colors +" option that suports an embedded alpha, Gordon. I think that's what Dodgy was referring to.

    Thanks Steve for the clarification.

I guess that means that SE should have that option so he doesn't have to save as frames and then use QT Pro to build the anim. I wonder if the existing "Animation" format saves as 24 bit or maybe it's already 32 bit? I think I'll give it a test and report back.

    Export Alpha Only?

So, has anybody had any luck with Apple Animation with Alpha? Whenever I render that choice and then load it back into the time line, I wind up with a weird grid overlay, that looks like maybe the alpha channel came back in at some huge resolution or something.
BTW, I haven't noticed a way to render up just the alpha channel by itself... am I missing anything? I think we could do that in VT-Edit 3 and 4.
    Thanks,
