    Sure there is.

ok this is vol. 2 of the 2 books, but you can also get vol 1 as well.

It is for LW 8, but you can also use it for LW9. Also the mentioned MSort method to sort you Objects in the List can easily be done with LW 9 without any plugins or other tools.

I'm sure you can get the book in France somewhere.

I have it myself and this is just a great series.

Timmothy Albee is also a great artist. But I can't give you personal reference of the book. I have his "making of Kaze Ghost Warrior" book and find that really good. Because of that book, I would say yeah that is also a good book. But I can't guarantee it. I don't have it unfortunately. But I did read allot of infos of his other books and they sounded pretty good.

If you can afford it, I would suggest to get the 2 from Jonny Gordon and the Tim Albee book. You can't do anything wrong then

IMHO if you can afford both Tims and Johhny Gordens books buy both.
However, if you can't, I'd suggest getting the Johhny Gorden ones as he takes you through the whole process of modelling, weighting, texturing and animating cartoon characters.
    Too old to die young.
