As far as I know, there is no non-modal control for Lscript in Modeler. There seems to be one in C++, because .p plugins can even draw live in the viewport.

This looks FANTASTIC and it should be non-modal so maybe we can convince NT guys to convert this to ".p" and then have it in 9.2.x modeler ? Maybe if we all send Feature Request it would be with good result. Combine this wiht current presets editor maybe ?

tajino - great effort and mostly very cool idea - that is some serious workflow boost. thanks

lsc, i think it should but not sure.

anyone interested in improving this plugin, 'port' as a C plugin, will send you the source.

seems to have problems here when trying to select folders. i can only select a file, not a folder as path.

forgot to mention, lscript modeler does not have folder requester.

So when browsed to the desired root path of your library content path, say "L:\markus\library" just leave nothing selected, and click 'open' or equivalent on the mac.

In the filename field you should see "Select this folder" as the filename, just leave it as that.

please try again see if it works.

the problem is that as it is i can only chose a folder containing files. no enclosing folders are selectable. if i put a dummy file into there or if i select a file, i get error 'line 1208, illegal arithmetic operation on data type".

afaik there are some mac specific problems in lscript, but unfortunately i never had time to get into programming...

my lw crashes after i added the plug and close modeler.
after restarting modeler i could select the surface preset folder but gave me an error after and it couldnt find any subfolders (which there are).

could you try looking in your registry, \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Newtek\Lscript\
look for value name "LibraryGeneral_librootpath" and check if the string is indeed the root content paths of your actual library path

library path is just a typical content directory, so if your library path is D:\library\, then the string should be that as well.

in the D:\library\ should then have at least subfolder of "images\" and "surfaces"

and in the "surfaces" folder should have at least one subfolder could be anyname, the subfolder could even be empty.

    hope it works.

also while in the registry if you have selected custom path, look for "LibrarySurface_LibraryMode" the value should be "1".
