Howdy Guys n Gals!

One of our Kiwi LWer's, Richard Mans, is going to be showing his very sexy LW short film Abiogenesis at the Raindance festival in London (Apollo theatre I think) in a couple weeks.

Anybody here planning on checking it out? (I think 28th Sept). Seriously slick work, and I'm sure it'd be great for him to meet up with some of the local LW'ers while he's out and about overseas.

I started a post here on NewTeks forum in case anybody wanted to know more about Abiogenesis (and hasn't already seen it).

Sounds like an excellent excuse for a gathering. Unfortunately it's actually the 29th September it's taking place on (at 2pm) - and I'm having my wisdom teeth extracted that day (yeeeoouch!) so I'll be out of action all day - and probably the next few days after that too!

If someone else wants to organise a LW/FX meeting that evening, I can post up something on the facebook group and (just launched) twitter feed.

I suggested to Richard to maybe pop on by to your Facebook page and post up any more info... I've thrown up the link to the Abiogenesis facebook page on your wall - Richards been posting updates to screening stuff, etc. on there...

From one of his posts on another forum, he says he'll be the "Bald guy wearing the Abiogenesis t-shirt" in case people pop along and check it out.

Anyway, good luck on those teeth.

My wisdom teeth op has been delayed (due to me getting punched in the face by a hoodie scrote I saw trying to nick a neighbour's bike, last Friday!), so I might be around this Thursday. Beer will dull the ache of my fat lip!

Its the first ever public screening, so you lucky buggars get the chance to catch it on the cinema screen in all its glory for the first time on the planet. Damn you!

Keep an eye out for Richard - he's a nice guy, and I'm sure he'll be fun to catch up with... I think he said he'll be wearing a Abiogenesis t-shirt. I suspect that he won't be too hard to spot unless he's been secretly selling t-shirts online...

Abiogenesis was stunning - great work Richard! Speaking of whom, Richard is around in London for the duration of Raindance, so I think a London Lightwave gathering is in order for next week. I can do any evening apart from Thursday - how about you guys?
