    MRI datasets

    Try this site ;

    http://www.siggraph.org/education/ma..._data_sets.htm

    I think you might need the conversion utility before you can use it though. I emailed Can Tarcan yesterday asking about this, and he said it should hopefully be ready in a couple of days !

    Let me know how you get on

    Good link. I went in search of similar and drew a blank. Thanks for that.

    Well, I dont really know what data the Dynamite importer handles, but you can always do a search for dicom files on the web.
    Here are links to a few very nice datasets in Dicom format (the medical standard format).

    Thanks Elmar. Downloading now, I'll just have to see whether the convertor works with these, but if it's the standard format then I'm hopeful.

    DICOM is the medical imaging standard format and it is what hospitals use to store their medical imaging data in, especially together with the PACS database etc.
    DICOM is very hard to support though, since there are so many variations of the standard.
    Dicom files generally work fine in VoluMedic (with a few exceptions).
    Not sure how well the Dynamite importer supports DICOM though.

    I've got some slice-files of a chum's tum here from when he was having an Unpleasant Medical Episode a few years back, but I haven't managed to converterate them yet. Lots of options...

    I appreciate the kind words about VoluMedic, but thats not the reason why I posted the links to this thread.
    I just want to point out that there are plenty of free voxel datasets out there, since a lot of people keep asking (us) for them...
    Still hope the links help you
