    Getting Started

I have acquired some older computers, seven to be exact. I would like to build a render farm with them, but I have know idea how to.
Could someone give me some basic info as to what hardware and software I would need to build a farm.
I've heard screamerNet is a hard to setup and use, and I know there is 3rd party software to help. Is there any that are freeware or at least low cost.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Del

Read the sticky at the top of this forum and a lot will become clear. Screamernet isn't hard to work with as long as you follow the rules...
