    Question about rounding something...

Hey guys, I am trying to follow this tutorial http://www.wtools3d.com/tutor_hall.htm
without LWCad though. I get stuck at step 2 because I dont know how to make what I need without LWCad using simply lightwave.

How can I do this with just lightwave? Thanks

    Create a flat disk
    Select 1/2 of the points
    hit ctrl-w (weld polys)
    kill the poly
select the remaining points hit ctrl-p (create open spline)
Create 2 points for the bottom and use ctrl-p, or drag 2 of the points down to the bottom.

Ok, I am up to step three now. I have the entire hall made in curves. Now I am stuck at the part where I change the curves to polygons...

everytime I select a curve and then push p to change it to a poly, it then will smooth it out like a circle.

Instead of creating a spline, try creating a polygon with the selected points. This will keep the shape and it is ready for boolean subtraction. If that is what you are trying to do.
