    Lightwave .cfg files for tools

Ive noticed that Lightwave automatically writes .cfg files for tools to the same directory as the content directory. I really don't like all those extra files in there, is there a way to chnage the directory that Lightwave writes these files to?

You can read the manual, but to change the config directory use -c in the shortcut then add the path. That's the way you'd do it if you wanted to have multiple versions and not interfere with each other.

This has bugged me for a while too. The -C config switch doesn't fix it either.

Actually, that is up to the developers. Dumping them into the content is just the simplest thing to do (basically, if a plugin opens a file without specifying a path it gets opened in the content).

Mind you, I think for certain configuration files (that are more project centric) this makes sense.
For most of them it doesn't though.

    Cheers,
    Mike
