polygons, flipped normals and CAD pack, Oh My!

I'm making a plastic trim piece with a handle built in, to open a swing out door. The specs wanted the platic to raise up about an inch to make said handle. I made a subpatched box and froze the curve to boolean add to the trim for the countour of the handle. Then I created a subpatched box to boolean subtract the hole for your fingers. Now, there are hundreds of flipped normals. There are also polygons with visable gaps that allow me to see to infinity. SO:

#1. Is there a way to flip all the messed up normals back at one time (I already tried align and it doesn't seem to understand which way they go either - but I'm new so maybe there's a trick I don't know)

#2. Is there a way to fix these gaps in the polygons without doing them one by one? The model is going to be exported to Solid Edge and then it's off to the plastics vendor. I've never modeled for CAD so I don't know if these gaps will sink the whole deal for them or not.

For #1 use the "Align" tool under the Detail tab.

You might need to merge, or unify your polygons first before aligning.
Push the software, don't let it push YOU!
