8.3 update Sentinal drivers won't install

Jesus h christ. I have 13 seats of LightWave and every update since 6.x have had problems installing dongle drivers.

The PCs are all simple Dell systems. Nothing fancy. Extremely well maintained and always problems.

This time installing on my home PC asks if I want to install new 7.1 drivers I say yes. After a few steps it says can't fine the Sentinal drivers msi file and asks to browse for it.

So I too am in discovery mode until I figure out how to fix this problem.

Anybody have any thoughts. I really don't want to go to sentinal site and d/l drivers. I've had major problems in the past when I did that.

It's not clear what msi you are referring to - I presume it's the MSI of the existing drivers.

Try and use the control panel add/remove software to remove the existing drivers. Once you've done that go for a LW reinstall, then the 7.1 drivers should load.

(BTW you only need to install the sentinel drivers - not the whole of LW again)

    Good luck,

    Paul
