    depth info in avi

Does anyone know, is there a way to render depth alpha information in an (uncompressed) avi out of Lightwave, so the depth info can be used in DFX+?
Or is it necessary to render frames?

    thanks,
    NJ

I don't know. But isn't an RTV capable of doing that? I *think* an RTV is bascially a "movie" with depth info.

Someone with knowledge probably shoulda answered this, and I shoulda laid off the keyboard!
    Thanx,
    Matt

(I will come back to LightWave3D when the support Linux. Linux isn't going anywhere, guys. Time to accept it!)

I'll have to look into RTV, don't know about that. But the rpf frames work well, guess i'll stick with frames...looking to put together a 400GB external hard drive to handle the volume...

    thanks!

In its in case that it would have that to rrender frame the frame in a format as RLA or RPF
