    Lightwave Cgsociety

    Hello,

I find very little work is done with lightwave on the cgsociety site. But Maya, Arnold, cinema ... and yet Maya is a real `` gas factory '', rather amateur cinema...

been like that for 10 years, the admins where "Pro" Maya, Modo, Cinema.

    people moved, understandably.

it was quite bad. Admins trash-talked LightWave in the LightWave section, i mean, how unprofessional can one get ?!

    to the point of funny.

They said, "I don't have to take this LW abuse from you. I've got plenty of LW users in the NT forums dying to abuse LightWave".

(two points if you can name the movie reference homage)

no, but really, it was quite strange.

I gave up on CG Society. Everyone there seems to be elitist art snobs. Like 10 years ago I used to post stuff in the WIP area. Everyone trashed my work. When I tried to defend it a certain mod banned me from posting in that section. I tried to get reinstated a couple times but never got a reply from the mods I contacted.

Oh boy. I'd be ripped to shreds if I posted my silly "Photon Torpedo on a Starfield" video there. LOL. Amateurs need not apply

Guess it's time to put the boot in and do something about that.
I will look at adding the Lightwave built samples that I did for Midnight Sky and I will be using Lightwave on a Marvel film in Jan 2021.
I will try and clear piece from Black Widow when I can. Stuff from other Marvel films when they are released this year etc.
I will put in extra effort this year to show that LW is still being used on the films that I am working on this year.

It gets tough to remember as when the IP becomes public, you are three films down the track and up to your eyeballs.

True. Though I feel like I'm not good enough for ArtStation. I do have a gallery there but every one else I see seems to be on a whole different level.
