Been trying off and on all day. Guess with the latest round of questioning what will happen with lightwave has people are downloading what they can and jamming up the server

Yep... the docs are down. :/

VizRT.... you are not showing anyone, at this point, that you are still supporting LW.

    Well done, VizRT.

Rumor has it that the reason the server is struggling is because someone is exporting a PDF for us. That sounds helpful and also a possible tip of the hand regarding the future.

With all the animated gifs, a static html snapshot is probably better.

I've been saving off individual chapters in HTML for some time now. Glad I did.

Glad to see it's back up. I agree with roboman and think people have just been downloading what they can.
I don't think VizRT realised us LWers were so febrile, and from their perspective there's probably nothing for us to worry about anyway, so I thinks it'a a bit harsh to blame them. I expect VizRT are a bit bemused by our panic this past week.

If they are indeed compiling the docs as a PDF, that's great, as many of us have wanted that for some time now, though obviously it could be interpreted as another 'end is nigh' portent.

Now all I have to do is try and remember what on earth I needed to look up in the docs yesterday...
