but the output that VLC send is like the video has a zoom effect applied
The NDI plug-in for VLC emulates a PTZ camera. Could you have adjusted the zoom on the VLC channel? If so, zoom it back down like you would with a PTZ camera.

That's actually quite cool, and a handy way to test PTZ control without a real camera! I'd always assumed it was a bug that the PTZ controls appeared in Studio Monitor for VLC sources...
Speaking of VLC, is there any way to override the NDI output name "VLC n" when using VLC to play media?
