Mini 4k or other????

We're a small theater interested in installing a multi cam system to support capture / streaming of performances. It's an 80 seat black box theater so it's not large. We also intend to use the system to help train students on the technology.

We can fit up the space with robust networking AND SDI runs if necessary. I think we'd be looking at four to five cameras. One wide 4k eptz, a couple of NDI or SDI PTZ's and something like a Panazonic AG-AC350 as a flexible option as needed with an operator.

Is a Tricaster Mini 4k a reasonable choice for us or should we be looking at something else. We'd like to position ourselves for the future.

Probably the best thing to is contact a NewTek reseller in your area for a demonstration. They could show you the features and capabilities of the system. It sounds like the Mini 4K should do what you need, but sometimes you need to see it to determine which model TriCaster is the best fit.

I wish it were that easy. Unfortunately, we are in Vermont. No listed TriCaster dealers anywhere. The closest one is three hours away and in our case would require quarantining upon return.

Many of our dealers will do online demos which is a great way to see the product and ask questions.
