I really wanted it too as it's some nice weight transfer & mesh fixing tools, but it's what's under the hood that was the determining factor. A DAZ asset imported, besides having to be in a T-Pose, gets all of the wt. maps renamed & with a CC_ prefix. So, you wouldn't be able to swap out directly with a Daz asset. T-pose has it's usual problems with wt. maps.

The FBX export options & results are quite a bit different that what I'm used to from Daz FBX's. Asked a question on their forum, but not a peep. So, I'll pass for now unless some concrete method gets presented.

So RPSchmidt if your watching, I'd like to know more on your workflow.
Wish I could post up something timely, but I'm still in the process of a major computer build (that now I almost wish I hadn't started).

I needed to update my home system (which I originally built for Windows Vista and had lasted me through Windows 10), so I started buying components a few at a time... and then I came up with the idea (maybe a stupid idea) of making a computer that didn't look like a computer, but more like a piece of accent furniture / retro future.

I bought a gutted Zenith Model 7S363 radio and without any real idea how to do it, began restoring it with the intent of turning it into my computer cabinet.

I never in a million years thought it was going to take so long... and I'm still not finished. I've been working on this thing for about a year, give or take, although only in my spare time on weekends.

Everything in it, all the mounts and methods of mounting are custom.

I've made further progress from the images here; I put in the wood bottom base support that I will mount my video cards to vertically (dual nVidia Titan RTX cards) and I completed cosmetic work on the radio dial face (such pain) and the console portion.

I built two vertical supports for the video cards, but the aluminum I used was too thin; so I had to start over with thicker aluminum. Then I realized my support design was flawed... so I had to go back a couple steps and re-design.

Anyhoo... all of that to say that I purchased the software, but I don't have a system to load it on right now

Hoping to complete the build in the next few months. I did a tabletop Windows 10 load and hardware check, and that was solid... hoping that everything is still in good form after mounting, etc.

All of my Lightwave work, minus a few older items, has been done at work. Unfortunately, I can't load the software there.

I will definitely revisit this thread after I get my build finished and get all of my software loaded up!

Indeed, that's a lovely piece of cabinetry. It's a shame that they don't make them like that anymore.

I'd love to see it when it's done, too.

Now Here's a tease for ya.

I've been experimenting on a Poncho garment, & a good project for 3rd Powers paint Weights tool. I had an "now wait a moment" moment & decided to try a test.

There are obvious problems but that's due to starting from a baked pose. Will try some experiments w/ a zeroed pose.

This did balloon the tail file size up from 50k to just under 500k, but some think many of those transferred can get pruned.

These are just key poses tests to see if the fur followed. Very quick process to save off & import poses now, then save those into a library.

Actually, from what I could glean from their site, eXchange Pro (~$150) doesn't appear to support FBX export, only eXchange Pipeline (~$400) supports FBX export (per https://www.reallusion.com/iClone/pi...tml#comparison). Those are "member prices" (add $50/$100 for "non-member" whatever that means). There's also currently a 50%-off COVID special running for members, but still pricey.

No surprise, they're trying to keep folks in their ecosystem, so useful, proper export capabilities are expensive (for non-Pros, anyway).

The flavor of FBX's I was getting out via the CC3 Pipeline trail were considerably different that what I was used to. Maybe with a LOT more experimentation I could have figured it out. With only x number of exports and absolutely NO relies on their forum to my question, that more than anything told me what I needed to know.

Having a problem with just a few fur polys & can only assume it's wt. map related, but at a loss how to go about fixing. In layout, they show in VPR but not in any wireframe, so have no way of selecting or IDing them that I can see other than knowing its surface. Nothing apparent in Modeler either but I did try just a Blur Wts over all & didn't seem to make any difference.

It would seem that Paint Weights could be used here as well, but not familiar with the when & where specifics to use it's other functions. Not quite sure what I'm looking for either; a wrong wt assignment for a point or just with wrong value for the correct map?

    Suggestions?
