Thread: I used LW on Blockbusters - Why not tell other users?

I used LW on Blockbusters - Why not tell other users?

What is sad is that I use this program to design and make hero props for films such as Star Wars, Marvel, Jurassic, Disney, Bond etc
and it's like Newtek are not showing off what it can do and that Lightwave is still alive....

Kylo Ren's saber, Thor's hammer in Dark World... over 55 movies that I have worked on, I have used Lightwave Modeller.

I don't understand but, will start posting some stuff here in the gallery.

Lightwave is NOT dead. Lightwave is capable and used in every film that I work on. People outside of our community should know.

    Regards, Jet

Lightwave is NOT dead but it will be eventually if they continue to fail to utilize resources such as yourself, output releases such as LW2020 and maintain the silence.

    fun to watch Jetīs site.
Cant recall Ivé looked through it before..maybe.

Love the little alien in the jar at the office

I recall myself making a fetus in cernit clay in 1993, and I painted it softly with oil colors, just tinting it..and it gave a translucent look.
I brought it to my job as a photo mounter assistent in those days, and I happend to put it in a drawer at my desk, and when an office girl came by..I thought I should show here the artwork,
She was a bit shocked, I didnīt know then that she once had misscarriage...apparently it looked very real to her.

Thanks for posting! Lightwave is NOT dead but Newteks marketing for Lightwave is. They really need to put st least some effort into marketing. It's been pretty much left up to the users to market it through word of mouth. It's like Newtek is trying to keep Lightwave a secret by not marketing it. Modeler needs to be updated but even in it's current form it is still so direct and fast, feeling more natural to model with compared to other programs I have used.

I'd like to mention that so many successful modelers/animators do not post very often in this forum.
I think it would really help if they showed us more of their work.
