Solved here, but it might help others going through some similar pains. Or for the next upgrade, who knows. Thanks Nicolas Jordan.
Salut!,
Allabulle.
Thank you @Prometheus! I thought of at least six projects I wanted to make with this software and decided to get it. That's a fantastic discount and I'm taking full advantage of it.
That's a nice offer.. too bad I'm not on LW2020 though.
is 2020 required ?
No I'm pretty sure LW 2020 will not required to run LWCAD 2020 since that would limit sales to only those who have upgraded.
Minimum requirements for LWCAD 5.x -2018.x:
Windows with installed LightWave 9.6 64-bit or higher.
Mac OSX with installed LightWave 10 64-bit or higher.

I would assume this will likely be no different for LWCAD 2020.

Cool, Thank You for info!

Perhaps a silly question... I've looked and seen things like lists of NEW features, but can anyone please tell me in a sentence or two what LWCAD is for? What will it let me do that I can't do with LW alone?
(I don't do architectural stuff or characters, mainly hard body models)
Cheers,
Nick

Indeed you can Starbase, to be fair the presets that come with LWCad are fairly basic but you can add what you like. The preset system in LWCad needs a good overhaul and can be so much better, but it is pretty good already. Adrian in the videos already has a free asset pack for the presets system, mostly buildings, check out some of his other videos. Indeed as Nick said try the trial version. I've used LWCad since version 1 and its the main reason i still use modeler in LW, well that and 3d Powers.
Also check out some of Viktors videos, they give you a good idea of what LWCad can do.
