Affinity products have a 50% off sale on now

Affinity products have a 50% discount sale running on all of their products until April 20th. It is their way of helping the Creative Community during the COVID-19 crisis. Full details and explanation here:

Might finally be time for me to replace my ancient copy of Photoshop CS2 with some up to date software instead something out of the Arc

This is a no-brainer for anybody that doesn’t already have them. I’ve been using them for a year now and find myself opening PS less and less.

Already have phot and publisher. I would gladly buy Designer too, but since I plan to switch to Linux and Affintiy products don’t work with Wine, it may not be the wisest thing to do.

How well does publisher handle PDF format. I would gladly move away from Adobe CC but the one thing i need to access and edit is PDF's. Photo is good to replace Photoshop and Designer seems good to replace Illustrator.

Yes thanks, i have seen that before, there are also several online converters, its not really for me but the wife always wants me to produce or edit PDF for her business.. I know that Affinity publisher can handle PDF as well, i'm just wondering from someone who has it if there are any problems or restrictions with it.with it

Just made a quick test: a pretty standard *.pdf (so, no extraordinary pdf features such as 3d or other stuff, a regular document with text and image elements...) came in as a pretty much normal document. I had access to all elements and could edit and arrange them at will... Did not dig to deep so might be there are some restrictions but so far it seemed to be a quite ordinary *.afpub-document once loaded.

To save me clicking through a bunch of pages, does anyone know what this breaks out to for each app (or a suite, if there is one) for a solo commercial user licence? Or if there's a table somewhere that could be directly linked, that would be cool ...

There isn't a single list of all the prices but if you follow this link to their store the 'Buy Now' button for each app takes you to a list of prices for that particular piece of software, kit or add-on:

    https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/store/

I can only see the UK prices but all the apps are showing as £23.99p each, so should be around $30 I guess.
