TC1 2-stripe panel. Switch top stripe?

I know how to latch the m/e to the top stripe, but it appears that the M/E portion of the panel (top right) has no effect, and neither does the "follow stripe" button.

Does anyone have any tips? I know I am doing something wrong.... Also, I looked for a manual specific to the IP control surfaces and did not find one. Is there one?

The details for each surface are in the main TC manual.

On ours, the top stripe stays "latched" to a particular M/E until it is re-latched to another which is a huge pain in the *** when you're using more than one M/E in a show. I went ahead and built an automation where pressing M/E-x in preview automatically changes the top stripe to follow, but coming from a TC 8k, the fact that it doesn't have a mechanism to do this automatically just doesn't make sense and makes me think I am not doing something correctly.

I have the same behaviour than you, and used the same trick to do the job. The follow ME in the right section is to get that specific control section to follow the ME you assign in the row, as far as I know...

Yup! You're the one that gave me the idea - thanks!
