Best way to do this question!

Hey everyone, I want to get opinions on the best way you could do this in Lightwave. To start, my kids saw a video from a youtuber that creates fun doodles - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRCO1D70m3g&t=29s

As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to come up with my own way of doing it. I have done similar but used a technique that was on the lightwave youtube channel here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqWZH0R7Vy8

I want to know how to make the image go over tons of balls that have been using physics. I don't really care about the piano part with the balls just putting the image over all the balls.
The one that Lightwave did uses one model but if I wanted to use physics and use tons of balls like the first video how would you do that? Any ideas would be great.

You could try doing this with db&w's sticky uv plugin.
My opinions and comments do not represent those of my employer.

    easy to do the texturing.
just simulate, bake mdd, texture bake the last frame.

getting the sim to play the piano at exact speed with dynamics however. not sure.

When you say "just simulate, bake mdd, texture bake the last frame."

I guess I don't understand how do you do that if the balls are not all one object? Noob here.

they should be 1 object, to save time, or you'd have to texture bake, say, 500 spheres.

so in this video, they would save MDD, then bake frame 90.

    no need to save endomorph.

    Airwaves,
uv sticky might freeze the UV, but it will not do this >

there is no tutorial on that, or plugin.

Thank you, that is good to know. I really appreciate your thoughts on this. You guys on the forums are incredibly helpful, thanks.

I will post something here if I find a way to do something like this.
