    NDI Discovery Outside of Router

    Hello.

Due to some issues, we've had to move our TC Mini and all connected BirdDog Studios to a small local router.
Everything is fine inside the router. Everyone discovers everyone.

I'm trying to get the TC Mini NDI to appear outside of the router too. So that other NDI devices on the bigger network can see it.

I've set up port forwarding on the router for ports 49152 - 65535. But still nothing.

Any ideas how to get that to work?

    Thanks.

It depends on the devices in question and the versions of NDI in play as to what ports might be used. Spark SDI/HDMI? Spark Plus? Spark Pro? NDI-PTZ1 Camera? NDI software applications?

Port forwarding can be limiting on a NAT router, it only allows one destination for the port forwards. If your router has a DMZ function it might be easiest to put the Mini in that so all outside traffic to the router is forwarded to the Mini.

I would like a BirdDog Studio outside of the router to discover the TC Mini inside the router.

The router does have a DMZ. I’m happy to try that.
