Thread: Layer bug in modeler 2019.1.5

    Layer bug in modeler 2019.1.5

I want to verify that this is a bug before submitting. Download the model in the link below. Load it into Modeler 2019.1.5 and enter "Move" mode and try to move the door. When I do this I experience a delay/hesitation in response to moving it. I loaded into previous versions and try the same thing and it moves super smooth.

I wonder if this is some kind of bug created as a result of the bug fixes to the modeler layers in 2019.1.5?

I also just tried selecting the door handle and hitting the hot key to invert the selection and it takes at least a few seconds but is quick inverting the selection from the door to the handle. Something it doesn't like about the geometry in the door handle but I have been using it for years and it works fine in previous versions.

I installed 2019.1.5 yesterday on my Win10 laptop. Your door object behaves just fine.

Thanks for trying it out. I will have to do some more investigating. It must be something specific to my install or system then.

It turns out I must have accidentally had modeler running in compatibility mode for Windows 8. That seems to be what was causing the issue. Took a while to figure that one out.
