Is x86 AVX acceleration used at all, for decoding applications? The monitor apps (as well as NDI Recv SDK samples) appear to work on CPUs with only SSE3 support. (I've heard that some NDI tools just crash if AVX is not present).

When AVX is not available but an NDI app still runs, does the receiver take an alternate (slower) code path? I don't want to leave any performance on the table, but I am also interested in pursuing the smallest/cheapest dedicated receiver PCs.
