    Hevc

    Hi! TC1 can stream/record in HEVC (h.265)?

The encoder on the TC1 uses AVC/H.264.

Here are some free external HEVC encoders to create H.265 files.

FFMPEG GUI (Win) will accept NDI as an input, if your computer is fast enough it can do it in real time. Otherwise it can convert it afterwards.

Handbrake (Win/OSX) will convert file into H.264 or H.265, it can also read native NDI recordings, you would have to capture then convert afterwards.

There is a plan to do in the future direct from Tricaster?

I expect it is on the roadmap, but H.265 does need more resources to encode than H.264 does, which is why doing it external isn't a bad thing. Offload this heavy task to something else or allow the time to really get the best encode quality for H.265.

Having Quadro’s in the new Mini (4K Model) opens up GPU encoding beyond 2 sources. Since NVENC also support H.265 this could open up some interesting possibilities feature-wise.
