    XMas Men Intro

Hey all.. I made this a couple of years ago but never got around to sharing it. It's an intro sequence for a comedy television pilot. I don't think it was picked up. We had to use GarageFarm because all of the little lights around the text really slowed the rendering down. The soft-body effects on the letters and the ladder was simmed with Syflex. I look forward to when Storm is able to do this kind of thing.

Yeah, the animation was really nice, overall look was cute, but snow was distractingly much too shiny as the camera panned down and sky faded. As in, I had to watch twice, because first time I missed the beginning of the truck movement staring at the mirror-like snow.

OTOH, is people watching it more than a single time even a bad thing?

When snow melts and refreezes, or combines with freezing rain, it actually looks a lot like that.
