Bullet Dynamics problem - friction doesn't work on deforming body

    Hi,

I have a rather simple Bullet dynamic project. A hat lands on the ground.

I have just a hat mesh and a groundplane. I make the hat a dynamic body and the groundplane a static body and I throw the hat with a bit of velocity and twist.

When the hat is a Rigid body it lands and bounces to a stop. If I make it a deforming body (I'm trying to get a natural object compression on landing) the hat just keeps sliding along never coming to a stop).

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Perhaps you could test a file from the new tech content directory, if one of the similar tests scenes have the same issue I would assume it would be a bug.
But always share the scenes here for more help.
    ...or parts of the scene.
