850 TW for Replays

Is the 850 TW a good solution for a second instant replay operator? We’re on a Mini HDMI. I currently have the second operator using the mouse to trigger replay functions while the operator runs off the control surface. The 850 seems like it would give a lot more control. And I’d love to pick up a 3Play 3p1 system but it’s currently way out of our budget.

The 850TW is good for the playback of replays. It allows for dynamic playback control and marking of clips using the jog wheel. Something you might want is something like an X-keys/MIDI/LivePanel to make macros of which clip you want to perform a replay with. The IN/OUT buttons on the 850TW will mark the first clip, but with current systems you can have more angles to choose from, this would allow for marking from any recording angle.
