    WebTally

KANE: Isn't there an inherent incompatibility installing WebTally on a Tricaster connected to the school's network by ethernet and trying to have WebTally run on a smartphone that runs on the school's wifi network?

(By the way - AGAIN - thanks for the help with datalink data tricaster & newblue!)

I guess that comes down to how the network is setup. As long as the web browser client on the phone can access the web server on the TriCaster they can talk.

This is all using web technology for communication. If the TriCaster was directly connected to the Internet (or port forwarded from a router), you could use WebTally with a computer on the other side of the world.

So, I ran an ethernet cable to the camera, connected it through the various adapters needed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8X133RXTPI) and got it working on a students iphone. Very cool indeed.
