    No network, connect laptop

Once again, finding a different piece from when I originally used a TC. Have a Mini HD4 and am looking to connect my laptop with a PPT without a network. Previously, I just connected using a crossover cable and iVGA, but now have ADV3 and that approach didn't work with NDI. What am I missing? Did a search and didn't find the topic, though I'm pretty sure there's a thread about it somewhere.

    Thanks
    DV

You'll need to use the Scan Converter app in NDI Tools, rather than iVGA.

I did try that, direct connection using a Cat5e, but the Mini didn't see anything. It has to be something simple, but it has me perplexed. Here's what I did:

Connected a Cat5 cable to the net connection on the Mini. Activated converter on laptop. Connected a USB-C adapter to the laptop (not ethernet connector built in), plugged in the cable. Opened new session on TC. No option to make a connection.
