Martin Boumans - One Click Walk Cycle - Lightwave Support Group

Martin Boumans brought up an interesting point about the lack of rapid application presets for rigging in Lightwave.

I agree with him that having quick presets specifically built for existing Lightwave rigs (especially the IKFK+ Rig) would be a fantastic aid in producing quick animations.

But at the same time, I thought "Don't we already sort of have that?"

I mean, with three rigs to choose from for setting up character animations (Genoma, Genoma 2, and IKFK+) and NevronMotion for FBX/BVH re-targeting, doesn't that make it fairly simple to set up and save out a rig preset that is walk - run - jump FBX / BVH ready?

I personally haven't had the opportunity (or need) to use NevronMotion yet. I want to... but the opportunity in my workflow just hasn't come up. I'm not even sure it still works with LW2019.

I know that even if it does, it's not a one-click solution; but with maybe an afternoon's worth of work, couldn't it be?

Again, I honestly don't know, but I thought I would put this out there and see what more knowledgeable 'wavers have to contribute to the conversation.

I've seen his rig with motions, but I wasn't sure how flexible it was. Haven't had the opportunity to actually play with it.
