IMO node users need every opportunity to make their networks understandable to co-workers and THEMSELVES when they come back to them. These kinds of facilities illustrated would be good, especially for Compound Nodes.
Of course, there's many LHF features that LWG could EASILY, VERY EASILY implement (perhaps 2019 has them already):
- notation 'nodes', or 'text only nodes' whose only purpose would be to help document the network
- a toggle to TEMPORARILY revert node names to their default so that you could see what a node actually is although you've renamed it
- disable/able switches for all inputs
And many others I've posted in the past. Not rocket-science stuff, just better UI and self-documentation opportunities.
