i wish that was so, but Ai won't care about gentlemen's jokes i'm afraid...

    monstrous ai
    sounds like, monstrous eye.

reminds me of, Sauron's Eye. Like Ai, it will see Everything. Behold.

I think the danger may not be in AI logic itself, or what it is capable to process....intially, but how we humans decide what should be possible for AI to handle.
If AI is to understand and interact with us humans, it probably need to do so with a level of understanding of emotions and human psyche, and that is where it may be getting scary, could we
in such case have AI without any kind of emotions , I think not...and if AI needs emotions..that will most likely come with faults, fears and seemingly irrational thoughts as well...and voila, a psychopat may show up in the realm of AI.

Remember H.A.L...Though that may not be specific to a Psychopat, it demonstrates conflicts with itīs own system.

Hehe, if it's AI, it's more like: Sees all, understands almost nothing, prone to panic.

Sure, it can count all the toothpicks on the floor at a glance... but if there's a paperclip visible, it runs off the nearest cliff screaming in abject terror.

The critical problem with AI these days is overestimation of "awareness", not underestimation. That situation will flip ...eventually, but not likely tomorrow.

how we humans decide what should be possible for AI to handle.
You cannot stop it, once it has reached a certain level.
And humans will make it possible for AI to reach that level, it is the way we are made.
We could delay it, perhaps 50 years, but in the end an independent Ai awareness is inevitable.
All we have is a small amount of damage control.

Must have been love at first sight ...I think he married that rude portia in the movie, I need to revisit it.

One movie I havenīt seen yet with AI topics, that is Ex Machina, must catch it when it shows up on Television...I have missed it a couple of times.
Mostly these scifi movies with robots etc, tells us more about us humans than what it means to be a robot.
