How to stop new recording CLI program?

How do I stop the new recording CLI program without hitting Ctrl-C? When in noautostart-mode I send "<start/>" to stdin to start a recording, this it documented in the manual. But nothing happens when I try "<stop/>", the manual refers to "the input settings section" but I can't find that anywhere?

A list of commands would be nice, like Start, Stop and Pause.

You can send <quit/> or <exit/> I believe.

I suspect there is no state possible in the recorder other than 'waiting for recording to start', or 'recording'.

Great! Thanks! Why didn't I think of testing "quit", that worked. :-( These parts seems a bit undocumented though.
