    New audio control surface

    Just came across this

    https://loupedeck.com/en

Seems like it could potentially be a much less expensive audio control surface than the Avid mixer surface (admittedly with far fewer capabilities).

Just a thought that maybe NewTek might put in code to support? Had some other interesting capabilities as well.

    Cheers,

    Hey Fritz,

I would recommend you take a look at the Wave board https://www.skaarhoj.com/products/wave-board/.

Wow thats very cool but even more expensive!

I was hoping for an "economy" version sometime.

    Thanks,

Just get a real digital console and call it a day. Send all of your TC playbacks, skype/TS sources, etc, out an aux and shoot it to the console, have the console handle mics and everything else and send a final mixdown back to the TC in ch 1 and 2. Audio control in the TC is wildly cumbersome at best. A real digital console will give you loads more i/o, sub mixes, mix minuses, sends, fx, etc. The only downside - and it is unfortunately a large one - is that it will introduce a delay for DDR playbacks. We've found that playbacks going out from the TC to a console and back to the TC have a 5 - 7 frame delay, which is noticeable by the viewer. There is no noticeable delay on mic feeds, though. I have been thinking about routing the video from the DDR's through a couple of M/E's to delay the signal and bring it back in-line with the audio, but have not tested it yet.

We have a Behringer X32 Producer and I love this console. $1,599
