I have Lightwave 2018, will a Workstation Graphics card improve OpenGl Performance.

I have Lightwave 3D 2018 and from what I understand the rendering engine has been completely been revamped from the ground up. My enquiry is that does getting a workstation graphics card have any real increase in performance over a gaming graphics card when it comes to OpenGl in the viewports for both Modeller and Layout as opposed to a gaming one? I know that workstation graphics cards drivers are massively optimised in OpenGl, is it worth getting a workstation graphics card specifically for 2018? I am prepared to get a workstation graphics card if there is a performance increase specifically in viewports which use OpenGl.

    This thread might help. https://forums.newtek.com/showthread...-LightWave-RTX
In the office we use Quadro cards and at home I use a GTX 1050Ti and don't notice any real difference. Now if you plan on doing some GPU Octane rendering then that's a whole nother matter.
